KCSN has gone robo-DJ and I mourn having a real person spin discs on the public-sponsored music station. But --- the robot spins from a pretty damned fine and eclectic set of tunes.
I've had Humdinger from Old Crow Medicine Show stuck in my head ever since they played it this morning. And I just recently ordered a Jeb Loy Nichols CD because the same thing happened last week after they played a cut from his old "Love Knot" album.
I wonder who curates the playlist?
BTW, don't miss their weekend shows. They are still hosted by real-live DJs and they are awesome. Although I really miss their Americana show, the twang show and blues show are great.

Long Exposure
"We're All Gonna Die - 100 meters of existence" is a very cool photo project by Simon Hogsberg.
It's a photo 100 meters long of 178 people shot over 20 days from a bridge in Berlin. I'm struck by how intimate these public photos are.

WANT
I've been putting off getting a new iphone for a couple of months now. (Thanks for the loaner, Mark!). Now I know why:
The new iPhone looks totally sweet.
Nice scoop, Gizmodo.

Hold on a Minute
11 examples of terrible hold music. It's oddly catchy.
I may have to make an art project out of this...

Kubrick's Cubes
"Stanley Kubrick's Boxes" is a documentary about the rooms and rooms of boxes that Kubrick left behind after he died. Most are filled with research material for his movies. All of them speak to his maniacal attention to detail.
